Description: An office worker whose involuntary powers cause him to relive the events of 18 years ago. His shard is a pocket watch, dormant. Tries to forget about magic, until he comes into custody of Pandora.

Appearance: Shaggy chestnut hair, greying beard, ruddy complexion, blue eyes. Round, wistful features, bulbous nose, thick brows. Tall but soft build. Office clothes, a dark coat, glasses.

Terra Harlow
Age: 34
Power: Astral projection

Description: Fey and former criminal lawyer. She has recently returned to the human world as part of a fey delegation investigating unusual overground activity. Her shard is a sea glass pendant.

Appearance: Black curly bob, cool-toned dark skin, dark eyes. Oval face, sharp, inquisitive brows, full lips. Curvy build. Iridescent violet trenchcoat (fey coat) over practical clothes.

Soren Tsui
Age: 30
Power: Overground rifts

Description: The most notorious psychic in modern history. He disappeared 18 years ago after causing the Ares Incident, a disaster that exposed magic to the world. Their shard was a xun flute.

Appearance: Tufty white hair, beige skin, dark eyes. Squarish features, wide nose, worried eyebrows. Average build. Square glasses, nondescript street clothes and jacket.

Description: A music box ballerina brought to life by the overground. Appears about 8 years old.

Appearance: Dark brown milkmaid braids, tan skin, large dark eyes. Heart-shaped face with large ears and painted-looking features, blushing cheeks, worried eyebrows, button nose. Slim build. Sparkling leotard with matching hair ribbons.

Description: The DSC researcher who discovered Pandora. He comes to Mattias for help.

Appearance: Tufty bleached hair with mouse-brown roots, pale skin, blue-grey eyes. Angular features with a long nose and heavy eyelashes. Tall and willowy build. Lavender turtleneck sweater.

Dominic Harlow

Description: Terra's brother, a journalist critical of the DSC. Currently investigating an urban legend.

Appearance: Short locs with the side of his head shaved, a close-cropped beard, cool-toned brown skin, hazel eyes. Keen, angular features with full cheeks, sharp brows. Average build. Open red button-up over a T-shirt.

Eleanor "Ellie" Tsui

Power: Seer

Description: Soren's sister, and their father's protegée. Apparently pursuing a PhD in the UK.

Appearance: Black bob, light beige skin, dark eyes. Squarish features, wide nose, thin eyebrows, a mysterious smile. Average build. Academic clothes; cardigans over tank tops, subtle eye makeup and lip gloss.
